Day 1: Arrive Amritsar
Arrive Amritsar. Transfer to hotel. Set out for a Sunset visit to the Golden Temple followed by a delightful guided culinary walk. Feast on the many delights of Amritsar’s famous street food. Return to hotel. Overnight at Hotel MK.
Day 2: Amritsar
After Breakfast, Begin your day with a visit to Jalianwala Bagh followed by a short walk to the Golden Temple. Continue with a visit to a Rice Mill – enjoy the unique experience.

Later, depart for Wagha to view the Beating Retreat Ceremony. This evening, you may opt for authentic frontier cuisine for dinner at Sarhad Restaurant (dinner at own expense). Return to hotel in Amritsar. Overnight at Hotel MK.

Day 3: Amritsar to Dharamshala (approx 6hrs drive)
After breakfast, drive to Dharamshala. Enroute, take a convenience halt at a local restaurant on the outskirts of Pathankot. Arrive at your hotel in Dharamshala and check-in.

This evening, enjoy a talk on Buddhism & Spirituality by a scholar from a Buddhist institute. Overnight at Serkong House.

Day 4: Dharamshala
After breakfast, visit the Norbulingka Institute and its various workshops where artisans work on making traditional Tibetan handicrafts. The Norbulingka Institute is a Tibetan cultural center for learning and preserving traditional Tibetan art and crafts. The Dolls Museum and Buddhist Temple is particularly worth visiting.

This afternoon proceed for the Kora Walk (approx duration 40 mins). Later, visit the Dalai Lama’s Temple and the Tibetan Museum. Thereafter, at a leisurely pace explore the Tibetan market at McLeod Ganj. Overnight at Serkong House.

Day 5: Dharamshala
Begin the day with a picturesque drive to Naddi and the Bhagsu Nag Temple. Enjoy the spectacular views of the Dhauladhar mountain range and enjoy an easy guided nature walk amidst the thick cedar forest. You will come across a Buddhist Stupa and some meditation huts where old Tibetan monks live and practice meditation in the middle of the forest. You seldom see the monks but you can hear their chants from inside the huts. The walk ends at Bhagsu village from where you drive back to Dharamshala.

The afternoon is at leisure to explore this enchanting town on your own. Overnight at Serkong House.

Day 6: Dharamshala
This morning drive to Andretta. Here, you visit a pottery workshop to see how the world famous Andretta Pottery is designed – enjoy this spectacular experience. Thereafter, drive to Palampur and visit a tea plantation and factory another delightful experience. Later, drive from Palampur to Kangra. The Kangra Valley is one of the most picturesque valleys of the lower Himalayas. The glory of the Kangra Valley and the Dhauladhar mountain range can be best appreciated through this panoramic drive.

Day 7: Dharamshala to Amritsar airport. Depart Amritsar. (Approx 6hrs drive)
This morning, drive to Amritsar airport (approx 6 hrs) - enroute, convenience halt at a local restaurant on the outskirts of Pathankot. Drop at airport. Depart for onwards destination taking along the experience of the destination explored.
Later, visit the colourful town of Kangra and it’s fort. Thereafter, drive back to Dharamshala. Overnight at Serkong House. [/su_spoiler]
Day 7: Dharamshala to Amritsar airport. Depart Amritsar. (Approx 6hrs drive)
This morning, drive to Amritsar airport (approx 6 hrs) – enroute, convenience halt at a local restaurant on the outskirts of Pathankot. Drop at airport. Depart for onwards destination taking along the experience of the destination explored.
