Day 01: Arrive Srinagar

Arrive Srinagar – (5200 ft), the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, located on the banks of Jhelum, famous for its House boats, Gardens and Lakes, you will be met by our representative at the airport and you will then proceed and check into the Deluxe Houseboat. Afternoon will be at leisure to enjoy the beauty of the city.

Day 02: Srinagar

Today after breakfast in the morning visit to the Shankarcharaya temple (Shiva temple) which commands one of the magnificent view of the Srinagar City and the lakes. Proceed on a half day tour of Srinagar visiting the world famous Mughal Gardens the Nishat Bagh (The garden of pleasure) and Shalimar Bagh (Abode of love). Return to houseboat for hot lunch. In the afternoon enjoy a Shikara ride on The Dal Lake absorbing the beauty that God has graced this city with which is often compared to Venice. You will get a view of some very interesting places around the Lake.

Day 03: Srinagar - Gulmarg - Srinagar (Approx 112Kms / 3Hrs)

After breakfast enjoy this beautiful day with a Full day tour of Gulmarg – Literally meaning the ‘Meadow of Flowers’ Gulmarg is a pine fringed hill resort which is one of the most popular destination for golfing, trekking and riding, the resort is home to 18 hole golf course, the highest natural golf course in the world. Here one can have breathtaking view of the 8137 mt. high Nanga Parbat, the fifth highest peak in the world. Enjoy the splendor of nature and the snowy mountains. One can have a Gondola ride (cable car) from Gulmarg to Khalinmarg. In the evening after a fulfilling day, return to Srinagar.

Day 04: Srinagar - Sonemarg - Kargil (Approx 205Kms / 4-5Hrs)

In the morning after breakfast, leave for Kargil by car enroute visit the panoramic village reach Sonmarg 2690 Mtrs also called Meadow of Gold. Precede through rough roads to Zojila pass 3527 Mtrs which is the Gateway of Ladakh. Continue drive towards Drass – The second coldest inhibited place in the world. We stop here for tea and passport check. Later proceed for another two and half hour to Kargil (2710 Mtrs) It is the second largest town in Ladakh after Leh. Arrive and check into the hotel and relax.

Day 05: Kargil - Leh (Approx 235Kms / 5-6Hrs)

After breakfast, drive to Leh. You will ascend three highest passes through panoramic views. Firstly you will cross the Buddhist village of Mulbek. Further you will proceed to another highest pass at 13749ft – the Fotula Pass on the Srinagar-Leh route. At lunch time you will be at Lamayuru, the oldest Monastery. Later proceed to the next village of Nimu where you will see a panoramic view of Zanskar River following into Indus. Finally we reach Leh at 3500Mtrs. Arrive by evening at check in the hotel and relax.

Day 06: Leh

After breakfast, enjoy a day excursion to the famous monasteries in Leh. Visit the Thiksey Monastery and Hemis Monastery. On your way back visit the Shey Palace, Sindu Darshan and the famous Ranchoo School. Arrive back at your hotel.

Day 07: Leh - Pangong (Approx 135Kms / 5-6Hrs)

After breakfast, today you will leave for Pangong Lake en-route visiting the second highest motor-able road in the world being the Changla Pass at 5486Mtrs above sea level. While ascending Changla pass 5486 Mtrs. Enjoy the beautiful panoramic view of the villages below the pass. Continue drive to Tsoltak, the summer pastureland of the yaks. Arrive Durbuk and from there a short drive takes you to the western shore of the lake. Enjoy the landscape in the back drop of the Lake. This famous blue brackish Lake of Pangong is 5/6 Kms wide and over 144 Kms long with half of it’s running the other side of the “INDO CHINA BORDER”. One rarely feels so close to nature and environment and the scenery is unforgettable.

• Overnight at the Camp.

Day 08: Pangong - Leh (Approx 135Kms / 5-6Hrs)

Wake up this morning with spectacular views around you. After breakfast, visit around the lake, and leave for Leh. Arrive back at Leh and check in the hotel. Evening free for a walk down the Leh markets famous for its gem stones and ornaments.

Day 09: Leh Airport

Today being your last day of the tour, Check out of the hotel and leave for Leh airport for your onward flight, taking away happy memories with a promise to “Let’s Journey’ again.
