Tour Plan

01

Day 01: Arrive Chennai - Tirupati (Approx 133Kms / 3.5Hrs)

Arrive Chennai and be met and greeted. Transfer to hotel. Check-in. Later enjoy a tour of Tirupati visiting Sri Venkateswara Temple which sits atop one of the the 7 peaks of Tirumala Hills, attracting scores of Hindu pilgrims. Sri Venkateswara National Park, also contains the Sri Venkateswara Zoological Park with lions and primates. Nearby, next to a waterfall and cave believed to be sacred, Sri Kapileswara Swamy Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. Return to the hotel.

Day 02: Tirupati - Mahabalipuram (Approx 190Kms / 4Hrs)

Today after breakfast leave for the popular beach town of Mamallapuram, one of the most visited tourist destinations in Tamil Nadu. Arrive and check into the hotel. Rest of the day at leisure to enjoy the beautiful beach.

Day 03: Mahabalimpuram - Pondicherry (Approx 100Kms / 2Hrs)

Today after breakfast enjoy the city tour Mahabalipuram visiting the Shore Temple, Five Rathas, Arjuna penance, Cave Temple and Krishnan Butter. Post lunch proceed to Pondicherry or Puducherry as it’s called. Pondicherry was a French colonial settlement in India until 1954, and is now a Union Territory town, but Its French legacy is preserved in its French Quarter, with tree-lined streets, mustard-coloured colonial villas and chic boutiques. Arrive and check into the hotel, Rest for some time.
Later in the day go for a visit of Aurobhindo Ashram – one of the major highlights of Pondicherry which is also the place of Samadhi of Sri Aurobindo. Visit the Handmade paper factory. Return to the hotel.

Day 04: Pondicherry - Trichy (Approx 208Kms / 3.5Hrs)

After an early breakfast drive to Trichy, situated on the banks of the river Cauvery, it is the fourth largest city in Tamil Nadu. Arrive and Check into the hotel. Afternoon Visit the Srirangam Ranganathaswamy Temple, the 2nd Tallest Tower in Asia and the Jumbukeswarar Temple which is one of the Pancha Bhootha Shiva temples in Trichy

Day 05:

After breakfast you will leave for Madurai – known to be one of the oldest states in Tamilnadu. Arrive Madurai and check into your hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure.

Day 06: Madurai

Today after a good breakfast, enjoy your day with sightseeing of Madurai. Begin your tour with the visit of an architectural masterpiece – The Meenakshi Amman Temple, one of the largest of its kind in India and undoubtedly one of the oldest too. A striking feature of the temple is the astonishing structure known as “Ayiramkaal Mandapam” or the Hall of Thousand Pillars and each pillar features high, ornate, bold sculptures that look life like. View from any angle these pillars appear to be in a straight line. Later visit the Thirumalai Naikar Palace and the Gandhi Museum which depicts depicts the highlights of the freedom struggle and contains a picture gallery of the Gandhian movement. End your day with an enjoyable experience of a Bicycle-Rickshaw ride in the evening to explore local market. Return to the hotel.

Day 07: Madurai - Rameswaram (180Kms / 4Hrs)

After an early breakfast drive to Rameswaram, one of the renowned pilgrim centers in India. On arrival check into hotel and relax for some time. Later visit the famous Ramanathaswam temple, which is seen as the major attraction of this holy place is believed to have been built by Lord Rama.

Day 08: Rameswaram

After breakfast enjoy tour of Rameswaram, visit the Gandhmadhana Parvatham, Hanuman temple and Dhanushkodi. Return to the hotel. Rest of the day is at lesiure

Day 09: Rameswaram - Kanyakumari (240Kms / 5Hrs)

Today after breakfast, drive to Kanyakumari – the southernmost district in Tamil Nadu state and mainland India. It is the second largest district in the state. Surrounded by Majestic Hills and the plains bordered by colourful sea-shores, fringed with coconut trees and paddy fields, closely interwoven with Temples and Churches, lies this beautiful destination. Arrive and check into the hotel. Later enjoy a 2 hour tour of Kanyakumari, visiting the Vivekananda Rock Memorial, the Kanyakumari Temples: famous the world over for its beauty of southern architecture. Lastly view the spectacular Sunset which can be seen from View Tower throughout the year except the months of June, July and August. Return to the hotel.

Day 10: Kanyakumari - Trivandrum (95Kms / 2.5Hrs)

Today after breakfast, you will check-out from the hotel and leave for the Trivandrum. Arrive and check in to the hotel. Later enjoy city tour of Trivandrum – the capital of the southern Indian state of Kerala.

Day 11: Trivandrum Airport

Today after breakfast, checkout from the hotel and leave for the Trivandrum airport/Railway station for your return journey back taking with you happy memories with a promise to “Let’s Journey’ again. Tour Ends
